Understanding Platelet-Rich Fibrin for TMD:
PRF Intracapsular Injection Protocols
Online Course (6 CE credits) with Dr. Jarrod Cornehl
Become the Go-To Expert in PRF for TM Joint Pain
This advanced TMD online training program is designed for dental and medical professionals seeking to enhance their skills in orofacial pain management. With a strong focus on anatomy, function, and clinical application, the course covers TMJ assessment and diagnostics, and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) regenerative therapy protocols for intracapsular injections . It offers practical, evidence-based tools to confidently diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint pain to reduce pain, improve mobility , decrease popping/clicking, and address intracapsular disorders and degenerative joint disease in real-world settings.
COURSE DETAILS
After dental pain, TMDs are the most common cause of orofacial pain. Various studies have shown that TMD affects 10%−15% of the adult population. To effectively treat patients with TMD, we must first be able to diagnose the root of their pain accurately and then predictably treat them.
This comprehensive didactic course series delivered virtually on-demand equips practitioners with the knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). Participants will explore PRF biology, phlebotomy, and centrifuge protocols, and learn precise intracapsular TMJ injection techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, decrease clicking/popping, and address degenerative joint disease. Through hands-on training and expert guidance, this course provides a complete framework for integrating PRF into clinical practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Understand PRF Biology and Regenerative Benefits: Explore the biology and regenerative properties of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in treating TMJ disorders.
Master TMJ Anatomy and Diagnostic Skills: Review TMJ anatomy and learn to differentiate between muscular and joint-related TMD accurately.
Learn PRF Protocols and Preparation: Perform blood draws, optimize centrifuge settings, and practice precise extraction techniques to collect growth factors, ensuring optimal PRF preparation and maximum regenerative benefits.
Develop Injection Techniques for TMJ Pain Management: Perform intracapsular TMJ injections with PRF to reduce pain, improve range of motion, decrease popping/clicking, and address degenerative joint disease.
HANDS-ON WORKSHOP
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat TMD with step-by-step protocols.
Practice TMJ injection techniques on patients
Learn proper injection techniques and safety protocols to minimize complications and maximize results.
OUTCOME
Gain the confidence and skills to immediately implement PRF treatments, offering minimally invasive, practical solutions for TMD and orofacial pain, and enhancing patient care.
Important Information
Prerequisite: The comprehensive didactic lectures and clinical video content for the Understanding Platelet-Rich Fibrin for TMD course series is delivered through virtual on-demand modules, which must be completed prior to attending a live, hands-on patient training.
Model Patients: To ensure the best hands-on learning experience, we strongly recommend that you bring your own model patient. As this is a teaching course, please inform your model that they should be available for approximately 2–3 hours. You and any attending team members are also welcome to serve as model patients. Please note that the Regenerative Training Academy does not provide model patients. While it may be possible to find a patient at the course, this is not guaranteed.
